1st picture from Fantasy Faire is Haven’s Hollow, not Medhir Woods – although the windlight suggests it was taken FROM Medhir Woods
It is actually Hope’s Horizon by Jaimy Hancroft in tribute to her father!
Yeah wrong name on my part as well, rushing to do things. But original label was still wrong ;-). Good to see it has been corrected.
guilty as charged!!!!
Interesting show. 🙂
One remark about all those 3D glasses using phones: they usually have extreme problems with latency, especially if you try to stream things from your pc by e.g. splashtop. So this is not really an alternative to a Rift. If you would have applications running directly on the phone it might be much better. @freetrack: i tried that, it works in certain programs, yet it is quite hard to configure right.
I enjoyed listening to the interviews with the Linden Lab employees – they sound, as expected – like the kind of people that I might encounter working on a regular basis – in the projects that I am involved with in RL. One question I hope you ask is how the people at Linden Lab feel when (and if) they read some of the vile things that some residents, the very people they are working for, say about them. Residents are fond of saying “there is a real person behind the avatar”. I hope these interviews work towards helping people appreciate that there are also real people behind Linden Lab.
Great to hear some Lindens talk. Would it be possible to get some more behind the scenes pics?
Oh Jerry I wished I had taken more pics in Santa Cruz but I am afraid not. I hope the opportunity arises again to visit Linden Land and I will shoot away like a crazy person!
There was public transit in SL, but people spent years screaming against it. Those cars by ‘Ann’ that you could ride around in.
I hope the Orientation experience is better for new residents than it was 7 years ago. Every time I tell my rez story I get referred to as a dumpster baby as that is what it felt like…abandoned at birth!
