participants of the museweb conference have been meeting since 1997 in north america and asia, discussing  research and applications of digital practice to advance cultural, natural and scientific heritage as displayed in museums around the world. and drax was scheduled to present in los angeles this past saturday at the closing plenary. in a rather [virtually speaking] herculean effort the good folks at linden lab and virtual ability helped organizer nancy proctor and team to “port” the event over to good ol’ second life. with much success: i have not seen this colorful a gaggle of newbies so excited about the possibilities of virtual embodiment and place-making since i first rezzed at the new citizen incorporated sim on february 20th 2007.
