we hear you = hence the beautiful 360 capabilities of SL 🙂
I mentioned “Bluebeard” by Vonnegut = everyone should read it! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bluebeard_(Vonnegut_novel)
It sounds to me that in Sansar, if you are a creator you can build your home, but then everyone else is a visitor and can’t rez anything or create anything. Thats a shame as some of my favourite moments in Second Life is when friends randomly rez stuff at gatherings, combining culture to make MEGA CULTURE.
Maybe the SL community has led Linden Lab to make Sansar locked down. Think about how many places in SL that are set to no rez, the most popular places, the biggest events dont let anyone rez anything. Sansar seems more targeted with its purpose than Second Life has.
I agree with lokieliot from the little that the lab has allowed to leak Sansar sounds very locked down. Unless you are willing to accept being locked in to a set of someone else’s cookie cutter experiences or cookie cutter house you are out of luck. So in my opinion Sansar sounds dull!
Something I’ve always loved about SL is the freedom to create and play easily. Apparently with Sansar that freedom is gone. Yes I’m still curious about Sansar and will continue to follow Sansar discussions but that curiosity doesn’t translate to making an account and actually going online.
My decision to not even possibly trying Sansar until quarter 3 or 4 of 2017 is sounding better and better.
Are head mounted vr viewers in 3D? I mean do they show distance like the old red and green paper glasses?
I completely agree about HF. From time to time, I will go there to check it out, and there is absolutely no attempt to get it running well enough to attract anyone. The basic controls are primitive at best, and just moving around is cumbersome. Yet, they are making games. WTF! As far as I know, they still won’t run their own asset server to protect the content in it. The marketplace is a complete joke. Of course they’d have to pay creators to create there, because no small creators would ever even consider creating there. I’ve told the SL community to stay away from HF until they start taking content more seriously.
