Interesting show. I was more interested in the memory part of the show that I thought I’d be.

What I want to comment on are the things said about Sansar and SL in Ebbe’s keynote at the VWBPE conference. I found your comment that Ebbe sounded like a Politician when he talked about the banns in SL very intriguing, enlighten, true, and in the case of the banns understandable.

Personally I didn’t find that much spilling the beans about Sansar since I try to gather as much information as I can about Sansar. To me Ebbe sounds like a Politian trying to lower expectations of a failing Sansar project that will be in very poor shape by the end of 2016. What I am waiting for is Ebbe to be gone and hoping that too many resources haven’t been wasted on Sansar.

We will have a special one on one Ebbe interview from SVVR next week = I will ask him some tough questions đŸ˜‰

One interesting tidbit that Ebbe divulged was that editing objects in Sansar will be a separate mode; i.e. you enter edit mode to make changes and then pop back into runtime mode to view the result in-world.

It’ll be interesting to see how this affects collaboration, immersion, and — ultimately — agency.

  3. Im bored of project sansar, time to move onto something else.

As long as you stay with us in SL no matter đŸ˜‰

  4. The memory thing was very interesting and showed how much education needs reform from the battery chicken style establishments i was brought up in.

    1. The frustrating thing is that there are many models that have been known to work when my mother was a teacher 40 years ago and they are still not implemented and the simple reason is: nobody is interested in EVERY CHILD having the same opportunity! In that sense it is totally battery chicken = some just won’t make it…

Excellent show very technically topical and yet entertaining. So many educational concepts have OpenSim to show and share affordably or free.
