Forgot to mention another piece of virtual theatre preceding the newer efforts by the VR crowd = “Paradise Lost” which was subject of Drax Files World Makers video series episode 18 = http://sl.governormarley.com/?p=3845 – very different from A.R.T. but nonetheless fascinating approach to digital performance!
Here is how you can see the movie: http://www.canarybeck.com/2015/09/14/4-ways-to-watch-paradise-lost-the-movie/
Justin Esparza reminded me of another virtual theatre project by the late Osprey Therian = “The Show Must Go On!” = https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XQhjox855nY – real pioneering work!!!!
I just want to clarify my comments that you paraphrased in this show, with regards to me saying that “older people are a marginal target group”. I’d like to set the record straight that I didn’t use the word “marginal” in the comments you are referring to, as that word might be construed as ‘minor and not important’. What I meant, was not that the older generation is marginal, but that I didn’t advise leaning in to the older market as a primary target market (mainly because they had not grown up with computer technology in the way Millennials have. Despite that, another member of the panel pointed out that the older demographic was also very large, and I changed my mind and said he was right, and that it did bear consideration given its size.
