Kudos to another good show with a flurry of topics. Sometimes it’s nice to get to a more human level, then all tech. I can definitely support promoting non violence.
Of course, this leads me to thinking. Why doesn’t that logic extent to all people. Like, was also talked about, children? I think most people can agree with that. Now how about men? Hmmm, we don’t really consider them, do we? It’s almost like, we have a culture of abusing men, and ignoring them. To the point that Mrs. Osborne can laugh, with a world of other women watching network TV, about a woman putting her husbands penis in a garbage disposal. Look at all the senseless wars we put our men thru. Men are more likely to die at work, and do very dangerous jobs. Far more men are likely to commit suicide. Men get much more harsh sentences for the same crimes. More women go to college now. Nope, men can’t need any sympathy for what we do. We are disposable. That is the attitude, and this mindset is WORLD wide.
Now, I’m not a Men’s Rights guy, or an MGTOW guy, or an MRA or whatever. I have sympathy for all humans, which is why I would never force anyone to do anything. Force and violence can never bring good outcomes. Using force is the abandoning of seeking a real solution. Force and coercion are at the heart of all the major problems in the world today. It’s that very thing that determines what is just and unjust. A rape is rape because force is used, otherwise it would only be sex, which both partners benefit and enjoy. Theft is only theft because 1 party doesn’t agree to the exchange, otherwise it’s charity. If we could all stop using force to solve our fears and problems, the world would be a much better place for everyone. The only reason our clown like politicians can wage these needless wars, is because we allow our governments to steal our money, or put our nations in debt. All of this centers around the use of force. Smart people can find good solutions without using a gun to do it.
Seriously, I want to see women become the 1’s that save this horrible world, but in order to do that, you must have clear logic that everyone can understand. You must identify the real philosophical problem, and apply the principles correctly. If violence is bad, then it’s bad for everything, not just for what you prefer. Forcing other people to pay, thru taxes, for your needs is a form of coercion. This is not to say that people who need help can’t be helped, just that force is not the optimal way.
P.S. If you want to listen only to the extreme voices of any movement, whether they be Feminism or Men’s Rights, you are likely missing the point. BTW, there was a very popular feminist blog that advocated castrating all men. It was not in anyway a joke. They were totally serious.
