Both my husband and I have our SL names on that tee-shirt and poster, along with all the other charter members, in teeny tiny little print…hehehe….I’ve not wanted to wear my shirt much because I don’t want the laundering to wear off my name!

Regarding the ‘trouble with waterside’ video, i’ve not read any of the reddit posts, but i’d imagine its not the fact its in SL that people find funny, but the reaction of the guy. Film a guy getting pissed off at a customer in Real Life or in virtual worlds, or in any place and people will find it funny and share. From my point of view the Land rep showed a disappointing lack of professionalism towards his potential customers.
A lack of professionalism… maybe, but given the customer’s refusal to even remotely cooperate with even the most basic instructions… I find the rep’s patients remarkable.

I used to read Alphaville, the messenger and SL Insider which eventually merged with Massively. But they all disappeared or stopped and it was hard to find any good information on what others are doing. But now i’m reading a few blogs, these are the new NEWS sites http://blog.nalates.net and http://modemworld.wordpress.com both report on all the latest Linden Lab situations, and major SL gossip points. And http://livingsl.com collects up many news articles about Second Life from a collection of users. It might not be professional Journalism in SL but its what we have, and its user created.
